Writing My Story: Keeping That Pen Moving is a nonfiction writing workshop designed for individuals who feel called to share the experiences, challenges, and victories that shaped who they are today.
This workshop provides a supportive space for former addicts, formerly incarcerated individuals, entrepreneurs, survivors, and anyone who has overcome life-changing obstacles to transform their experiences into powerful written stories.
Your struggles, growth, and triumphs can inspire others. The lessons you learned along the way may become the words someone else needs to hear.
This is a 2 hour session. You have to register via this site to obtain placement in the program.The workshop will focus on the following:
- How to begin the process of writing your story
- Carving out what you want the reader to know
- How to use your tears, emotions, pain and flashbacks to make it a page turner
- Beating your own Deadlines to write and remove procrastination
- The writing process starts now... your first paragraph on paper
This workshops will be facilitated by bestselling author Lamont Carey, a storyteller known for his commitment to helping others find the power in their own voices and surpassing their writing goals.
